My Christmas gift...

When I told people what I got for Christmas I got quite a few questioning looks.  I don't think many knew what it was, or what it is for. I got a pop up photo booth for photographing smaller items.   I thought I would show you. Here is a picture of the whole thing popped up and lit with the lights.  It is a 30" by 30" cube.  The translucent fabric lights up the entire item you are photographing.  I wanted to try it with an Amarillis flower I've been growing since November.

I don't expect to be taking pictures of too many tall items like this flower, but it was a good beginning.  I don't like that you can see the seams behind the flower pot, but it is very well lit.
I am very pleased with how it is working out. I have lots of great ideas on how to use it.  Let me know what you think.  I have an Olympus FE-280, 8.0 megapixel, point and shoot camera.  It isn't great, but I feel like this tool will help my camera maximize it's potential.  Leave me lots of comments if you have one too.  I can't wait to learn some new ways to use it.  :-)

I LOVE your Photo Box. Where did you get it? Did the lamps come with it? I created my own light box using Foam Board. If you are really into photography, this website is awesome!

I use my light box to photograph my cards and scrapbook layouts and all things crafty.

That was a great gift!

What a wonderful gift! I have been eyeing these myself, but never tried one. Looks like your photos turned out really nice!

I'm so intimidated by photography equipment, even something as useful and innocuous as this photo booth.
Enjoy your gift and happy picture shooting.
