Happy New Year

Hello!

I bet you have been wondering what is going on around here. I haven't been feeling well for over a month. We barely got the Christmas tree up this year. My mom came over and helped with that. It is still up in fact. I never completed all my Christmas cards. If you didn't get one please don't give up hope. I will just write, "Happy New Year" in them and send them out. I don't want anyone to miss out on the pictures. I am not rejecting you if you didn't get one yet, I've just been so dang tired and messed up. It will get done.

My New Year's resolution this year is to see my name in print. I would love to have some of my creations published. I'm going to try and "step up" the level of detail and precision I use. I sometimes make things in a hurry and say to myself "It's handmade, it can be a little messy." No more. I'm going to make this the year of my best work and try to share it more with others. That is why I created this blog after all.

Here is a project I recently completed making.

I have a wonderful new stamp by Hero Arts. When I saw the stamp for the first time I just knew I wanted to layer it like this. I stamped and heat embossed the image 6 times. Then I cut it out smaller each time.

I layered the 6 consecutively smaller cut outs with foam adhesive. Then I embellished the whole thing with some gems. I added this to a home decor project.

Here it is. I plan to hang it on the stairs. I also plan to take down those frames we currently have up and clean them and add all new photos. Refresh!

I hope you enjoyed. I will posting some more new cards I have made soon.
