The world has a new scrapbook!!!

Hi, everyone. I haven't blogged in awhile. I need to let you know what we have been doing. My niece Kristi went on a special trip last month. She was nominated to go to Hawaii because of her amazing grades in science and her physical abilities. (???) What was that you ask? Physical abilities? I asked what that meant and she said she doesn't know. I asked if she has an A in P.E. and she said yes. OK. Moving on.......

She got to go to Hawaii!!! She learned, discovered, ate, swam, hiked, boated, made a basket, and saw her some lava. WOW! She saw a lot for a 13 year old. So to keep it all in one place for her we made a scrapbook. Here she is with the finished product. It is so cute and pink.

She came over last week on Sunday and we worked on it from Monday till Wednesday. We got a lot done in 3 days. You can't tell but that sucker was thick. Duane helped us put it together at the end and we had to use 3 sets of post extensions. WOW!
Here we are frantically clipping, cropping, slicing and dicing. Oh, and adhering. We were doing the journaling at first, but then we stopped and she promised to do that at home. (Kristi, are you doing that at home? You had better. You don't want to forget the names of people and places. You don't want to forget the names of the foods you ate. You don't want to forget the fun.)

I had the presence of mind to take a pic of the pile of photos only after we were half way through it. So look, then blink, then double this pile. That is what we did in 3 days. It was 190 photos. We did make 2 of them 8 1/2 X 11", so those were easy to scrapbook. I hope we did the trip justice. By the end we were a little frantic and hurried. Her dad had to patiently wait for us to finish when he came to get her. (Thanks Ross!)
Oh yeah. Here is my dining room while we were working. What a mess! But it was a fun mess.
Thanks to Pam and Ross for letting me borrow their kid. She was a delight. You are doing a good job of raising her. She has her head on as straight as you can have it at 13.
To be honest we also went swimming, ate a ton of food, went to Archiver's twice, went to Costco once, and watched Project Runway.
Thanks for the fun Kristi!
