This past Sunday
This past Sunday we went to the Denver Dumb Friend's Leage and adopted two new little children. We have been talking about this for quite some time and finally went and did it.
Sarah and Theresa wanted to take home every cat we saw. We finally narrowed it down to some that they thought do well with children. We had intended on comming home with only one cat. We met with some of them and something happened. We liked a couple of them that were in a room together. They were marked as friends and that would like to send them home together.
We decided that we liked them both and brought them home. They are still shy and we are all getting to know each other. Below is Simba. He is a male who is 1 year and 3 months old. I couldn't get a better photo of him because he hides under Theresa's bed all day. It's warm under there because the furnace vent blows under it.
Here is Nala. She spent the day getting to know us yesterday. She followed myself and the girls all over the house to see what we were doing and where we were going. She is a little love. Whe snuggles all of us and is very sweet. We think that Simba will warm up to us soon, he was cuddly in the shelter, he just needs time.

We wish you a merry Christmas
We hope that all of you had a very happy Christmas. We did. We have been having a lot of fun with Duane home for two weeks. We will be sorry to see him go back to work on Monday. Here a few photos from Christmas eve. Geoff and Sabrina were visiting from Pueblo. We took the kids to the indoor play area at the Broomfield Rec. center. They all had a blast running, climbing and sliding for about 2 hours. Edward really loved it. He just can't stop climbing. In the end he was so tired he started to stumble, but just wouldn't give up.
Here is his big sister enjoying the fun too.
Here is a cute one from Christmas morning. Edward wasn't feeling very well that morning, but he kept enjoying this pretend phone.
Sarah and Theresa were treated very well by Santa, and everyone else. They got everything they asked for, and a lot that they didn't. Below is Theresa. She really wanted a thermos to take soup in her lunch box with.
Below is Sarah opening some new clothes. Don't worry. They got tons of new toys too. Some of their favorites are some new baby dolls, Barbie and the Diamond Castle, the game Pretty Pretty Princess, all of the new books they got, and some little Tinkerbell figures. Thank you to everyone who gave them a gift. It is all much appreciated.
We had a very quiet New Years at our house. We put the kids to bed a little early and ordered a Pay Per View movie. It was quiet and boring which is just what we wanted. We watched Hancock with Will Smith and enjoyed it very much.
We can't wait to share another year of photos and news here on our blog. Blessings to you all.
